Wolf/Predator Hunt
Our area is in Unit 19 & 17 in southwest Alaska, just north of the famous Bristol Bay. This hunt is only for the hunter who is interested in a true Alaskan winter adventure. Our camps are all in remote locations and are accessed only by small planes on skis.
If you book with BIG ALASKA OUTDORRS LLC you are booking an
ALL-INCLUSIVE HUNT! Please take some time to look at the overview for this season to see exactly what is included with your specific hunt! This is something that almost no other Alaskan Outfits offer and provides great value while removing the hidden costs associated with these hunts.
ou will arrive in Anchorage, Alaska with the required gear list. The next day our charter partner, Nick’s Air Service, will fly you to our camp. You will fly through one of the famous mountain passes in the Alaska Range on your way to camp, getting views of glaciers along the way.
Camp consists of 2 log cabins, one for guides and employees and the other for clients. Wood stoves, cots/ bunks with good foam pads, outhouse, REAL FOOD, snowmachines, generator, etc.
You will enjoy a 15-day hunt dating either March 1 – 15 or March 16 – 31. THESE DATES ARE FLEXIBLE. You will arrive in camp a day before the start of your hunt and leave a day after. We use the method of tracking to hunt these wolves. A hunter can expect to travel possibly hundreds of miles on snowmachine looking for tracks and/or a kill. We will be setting traps along the way to up the odds of catching some fur. Once wolves are found a hunter must be ready to be able to shoot a moving target at some distance.
Once you harvest your animals, all meat and trophies will be salvaged and shipped in accordance with Alaska game laws. Your cape will be fleshed, turned, and salted by the staff. Any meat will be hung in clean dry bags and every attempt will be made to keep meat clean, dry, and bug free. From there your meat and trophies will be flown back to Anchorage where our expeditor will pick them up, finish any work left to prep it for the tanning process, and prepare for shipping.
